Deacon James Rizos Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Deacon James Rizos of Denville, New Jersey. Deacon, born on January 6, 1950, passed away on August 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Jean (Kerin) and George Louis Rizos. He is survived by: his wife Mary Cecilia Rizos; his children, Gregory (Jessica), Daniel (Julia), Joseph and Anne-Marie Chapman (William); his grandchildren, Amelia, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Peter, Margaret, Augustine, Henry, Luke, Eleanor and Paul; his siblings, William "Bill" (Sue), Robert "Bob" (Christine), Suzanne Pietropoli (Angelo), Kevin (Fatima), Brian, Jean Marie "GiGi" Oset (late Hank), Neil and Eileen Denehen (Mel); and his sister-in-law Jean Koernschild (Scott). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, parishioners, and friends.
