He was predeceased by: his child Genelle Cox; his parents, James Cox and Vera Cox (Cashell); and his sister Patricia Spennato (Neil). He is survived by: his children, Genise Ivins (David) of Westville, Michael Cox-Steckley of Colorado and George Cox Jr.; his siblings, Thomas Cox, Sr. (Helen) of National Park, Jean Caruso (Rick) and Robert Cox, Sr. (Sylvia); and his grandchildren, Sky and Dominic. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Boucher Funeral Home (1757 Delsea Dr, Deptford, NJ 08096). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (550 Delsea Dr, Sewell, NJ 08080).
