He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Scarpati and Anna Riccio. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Polinski Scarpati; his children, John G. Scarpati II (Patricia), Christine Scarpati and Danielle Scarpati-Fifis (Nickolas); his grandchildren, Taryn Rommell (Randy), Maggie Cooney (Sean), Melissa Scarpati, McKenzie McNeil (Matthew) and Thomas Kleinknecht (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Mikayla Rommell, Charlee Rommell and Mason Cooney; his sister Theresa Sabbaro; and his granddaughter Nicole Marie Kleinknecht. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Brenna Funeral Home (1799 Klockner Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Gregory (4680 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery (1800 Hamilton Ave, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619).
Memorial contributions can be made in John's memory to Boys' Town of Italy or the Sunshine foundation.
