Arnold F. O'Callaghan Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arnold F. O'Callaghan of Dumont, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, George, John, Gertrude, Nancy, Dorothy and Norberta; and his cousin Jimmy Walters.

He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his children, Dina Schenone (Edward), Denise Mahaffey (David), Arnie O'Callaghan (Jackie), Danielle O'Callaghan and Sean O'Callaghan (Nolan); his grandchildren, Anthony, Jared, Sarah, Brendan, Caitlyn, Lucas, Elianna, Madalyn and Evan; and his parents, Mabel O'Callaghan and George O'Callaghan.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home (161 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628). A Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (280 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Arnie's memory to the Gary Sinise Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
