He was predeceased by: his parents, John George Basil and Angelina Basil; and his son Edward Basil. He is survived by: his wife Rita Anne Basil; his children, William, Robert, John Basil (Jasmine), Jacqueline and Suzanne; and his grandchildren, Alex, Matthew, Grace Basil, Dominique, Johnathan Basil, Benjamin Basil, Jennifer and James Joyce.
