She was predeceased by: her husband Ned R. Holtje; her son Michael P. Grimes; her siblings, Margaret Dempsey, Robert Dempsey, Joan Simunovich and Mary McSpirit; and her parents, Julia Dempsey and Anthony Dempsey.
She is survived by: her sister Eileen Panarotto; her grandson Michael Grimes; her stepdaughter Danielle Peschler; and her stepgrandchildren, Hunter Peschler and Morgan Duffy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home (161 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's R. C. Church (280 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628).
