He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Smedley and Doris Jean Smedley; and his brothers, Harry Michael and Gerald Bruce Smedley. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Elizabeth Smith of Georgia and Patricia Ann Rogers (Randy) of Georgia; his siblings, Stephanie Anatale (Vincent) of Mercerville, NJ, Jeffrey Brian Smedley of Green Brook, NJ, Linda Costa (James) of North Brunswick and Tina Smedley of Redondo Beach, CA; his grandchildren, Nicole Kristine Allison (Edward), Justin Cole Smith, Cody Smedley, Chase and Clayton Rogers; and his great grandchildren, Mayla Jane Allison, Henry James Allison and Maddex Smedley.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home (233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ 08812). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 1:45 PM at the Lake Nelson Memorial Park (150 Morris Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854).
