She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stankus and Agnes Stankus; her siblings, John and Barbara Stankus; and her granddaughter Lillian Alford.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas E. Sheenan; her daughters, Michele Alford (William) of Whitehouse Station and Carolyn Sheenan (Joachim Akerman) of Warren; her grandchildren, Patrick Alford, Elle Akerman and Jacqueline Akerman; and her sisters, Kathy Ceschan of Mechanicsville and Deborah Schnitzer of New Hampshire.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Sheenan Funeral Home (233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ 08812). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St John the Evangelist Church (317 1st St, Dunellen, NJ 08812).
