Born in Hoboken on September 16, 1935, Doris attended school there and graduated at the age of 16 because of her excellent academic abilities.

She was a long-term employee of Haven Savings Bank, where she was an executive secretary. She retired a few years early to move to Old Bridge, so that she be closer to her family and beloved grandson. Doris was a kind, giving person and always had a smile on her face for everyone she met, whether it be a stranger or someone known to her.

Because of her ability to really listen and her displays of compassion, Doris was the one everyone would go to in times of trouble. She knew just the words to say to make one feel better. When her daughter was down, she would always make a cup of tea talking and listening to her, easing her daughter's mind. She enjoyed painting, crafting, Atlantic City, dancing, and fashion.

She also had a collection of pig figurines because of her affinity for them. Most of all, however, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially adored her grandson. She described him as the "love of her" life. They had a very special relationship, the kind you don't often see these days. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Clara and Hugo Busch.

She is survived by her beloved daughter and her husband, Robbin and Steve Seuling, her beloved grandson, Stephen Seuling, as well as cousins and friends in whose lives she made a difference. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be at a later date.
