With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Iris Schmitt (East Brunswick, New Jersey), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Iris left this world on May 22, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Sieber and Louisa Sieber; her husband Walter G. "Smitty" Schmitt; and her siblings, Glenn Sieber, Carroll W. Sieber and Corinne Cebula.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Lennert (Drew) of Old Bridge, Wendy Crane (Terry) of Old Bridge, Kerry Wallace (Russ) of Hillsborough and Darryl W. Schmitt (Christine) of St. Johns, FL; her brother Roger Sieber (Maxine) of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her grandchildren, Ryan Wallace, Erin Wallace Andrews (Matt), Amanda Lennert, Andrew W. Lennert, Adam Schmitt and Megan Schmitt.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brunswick Memorial (454 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816). A prayer will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church (100 James St, South River, NJ 08882).
