SEULING, beloved husband, father, and brother passed away peacefully at St. Peter's University Hospital on May 3, 2021. He was 62 years old. Born in Queens, NY., he spent most of his childhood in Lake Grove, Long Island, New York, along with his three brothers.
He was a long-term employee of Prudential Securities in Manhattan, where he served as a Manager of Operations. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Manager at Pep Boys in Piscataway. Steve's interests included American History, Cape May, and was an ardent Harry Potter fan. He was very patriotic and had served in the Marine Reserves.
He was an incredible human being, an amazing father and husband. He adored his son and would have gone to the ends of the earth for him. He was so proud of his son Stephen's, accomplishments and successes. He met his wife, Robbin, while working at Prudential Securities. Robbin had a difficult childhood, and it was Steve who saved her by providing her the security, protection, and the love she always needed.
They were married 35 years. He touched the lives of so many with his kind and gentle demeanor. Even the most difficult people had a soft spot for him. He brought out the best in people. It has been said that the world was a better place with Steve in it, and it truly was. Steve had a soft spot for stray cats and would feed them and take care of them.
They trusted him, and he became their best friend. He would spend hours outside with them showing them love and affection, and they, in turn, would show it back. Steve was predeceased by his mother and father, Margaret and Donald Seuling and his mother-in-law, Doris Melillo. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Robbin; son Stephen; brothers, Don and his wife, Linda, Bob, and Jim.
He leaves behind three nephews and one niece, as well as his Aunt Kit and many cousins. Lastly, he leaves behind many friends in whose lives he made a difference. Steve's arrangements were entrusted to The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, South River, on May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. For directions, please see our "Services" page.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church for the beautification of the outdoor labyrinth, which was near and dear to Steve's heart.
