David Dormercant Obituary

We announce the death of David Dormercant (East Orange, New Jersey), who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 61. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonia Domercant and Edmond Jean-Pierre. He is survived by: his wife Phoebee Michel-Domercant; his children, Doreene, Darren and Delon Kayden; his siblings, Perpetue Joseph (Loty Joseph), Emerson Jean-Pierre (Emille Jean), Pierre and Varlo Jean-Pierre; his nieces and nephews, Neilly Joseph, Varlone Jean-Pierre, Varline Jean-Pierre, Melly E. Jean-Pierre, Lovadney (Enrika Joseph), Perry (Rayanna Joseph), Henchel (Andreyanna Joseph) and Everson E Jean-Pierre; his great-niece Pria; his siblings-in-law, Mardochee Michel-Robinson (Joseph Robinson) and Jimmy Michel; his mother-in-law Myrtha (Ludovic Robert); and his grandchildren, Dorene and Daren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Island Memorial Funeral Home (49 S Munn Ave, East Orange, NJ 07017). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Kingdom Hall (470 Hawthorne Ave, Newark, NJ 07112). A reception will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kenilworth Veterans Center (33 S 21st St, Kenilworth, NJ 07033).
