She was predeceased by: her father Wallace Linette; her husband William "Bill" Bauer; and her sons, William D. Bauer and Daniel T. Bauer. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Nastus (Ronald) and Cindy Brandon (David); her sister Ruth Solinger; her grandchildren, Philip Maiorana, Michele Turton, Michael Brandon, Christopher Brandon, Daniel Bauer and Shelby Bauer; her niece Cheryl Solinger-Graef; and her nephew Kevin Solinger. She is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joan's memory to Grace Reformed Church, 2815 Woodbridge Ave, Edison, NJ 08817.
