He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Giess and Rose Giess; and his siblings, Gizella Meyer and Rudolph Giess. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Polefka (Craig) of Cream Ridge, NJ and Daria Dooling (Michael) of Huntington, VT; and his grandchildren, Jordan Polefka, Breanna Dooling and Caitlin Dooling. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Maxwell Funeral Home (160 Mathistown Rd, Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08087). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa's Church (450 Radio Rd, Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08087). A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St Mary's Cemetery (283 Beachview Ave, Manahawkin, NJ 08050).
