He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothea M. Reitz; his parents, Joseph S. Reitz, Sr. and Marion P. Reitz; his siblings, Mary Reitz Klein and Edward F. Reitz, Sr.; his son-in-law Raymond Wachauf; and his great grandchild Nolan Isaac Perry.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Reitz (Teri), John Reitz (Kathleen) and Laura Wachauf; his brothers, Robert L. Reitz and Kenneth M. Reitz (Linda); his grandchildren, Bryan Reitz, Jessica Perry (Reitz), Daniel Reitz, Matthew Reitz and Caitlin Wachauf; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Reitz, Harvey Reitz, Ella Rae Cortellini-Reitz, Cecelia Perry and Oliver Perry.
