It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renato Sarmiento of Edison, New Jersey, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Josefina L. Sarmiento; his siblings, Lucina, Ricardo, Ramon and Rosie; and his parents, Rafael and Luciana.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Rodriguez (Jose), Graciella Lopez and Vichtoria Paglia (John); his sister Rosario Cagandahan of Manila; his grandchildren, Francisco, Christina, Raymon, Christopher, Jedd and Joseph; and his great grandchild Alexander.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home (568 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St. Cecelia's Roman Catholic Church (45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ 08830).
