He was predeceased by : his brother John; and his parents, Stanley and Genevieve (Pudlak). He is survived by : his children, Robert Jr. (Stephanie), Jeffrey (Christine) and Tracy Hearon; his grandchildren, Trevor, Skylar, Avery, Robert III, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Christian; and his siblings, Stanley Trela and Carol Reinhard.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gosselin Funeral Home (660 New Dover Rd, Edison, NJ 08820). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St Cecelia RC Church (45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ 08830). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the St. Gertrude Cemetery.
