He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Jones (Deehan) and Walter H. Jones Sr. of Rodney; his wife Janet Jones (Michalowski); his sons, Scott Jones (Michele), Jay Jones (Nicole) and Todd Jones; his grandchildren, Zachary (Crystal), Georgia, Jase and Kailey; his brothers, Richard Jones and Walter H. Jones Jr.; and his sister-in-law Judith Michalowski.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home (803 Raritan Rd, Clark, NJ 07066). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
