He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley L. Trela and Genevieve P. Trela (Pudlak). He is survived by: his sister Carol Reinhard; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Ann Trela; his sibling's children, Robin Trela (Robert McGrath), Robert Trela Jr. (Stephanie), Tammy Trela, Jeffrey Trela (Christine), Ginene Kuchnicki (Stephen) and Tracy Hearon; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Trevor, Sky, Avery, Alison, Robert III, Kaitlyn, Emilie, Coleen, Matthew and Christian.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gosselin Funeral Home (660 New Dover Rd, Edison, NJ 08820). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Agnes RC Church (332 Madison Hill Rd, Clark, NJ 07066). An entombment will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Gertrude's Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
