With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary L. Wharton (Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Annamae Wharton (Gary) and George Wharton; and his brother Michael Jace Wharton. He is survived by: his siblings, Cathy Bryant (Gregory) of Egg Harbor, NJ, Maureen Roundtree (Jerald) of Absecon, NJ, Deborah Ross of Galloway, NJ, Kevin Wharton of Sanford, FL, Yvette Reed (Willie) of Lake Mary, FL, Jermaine Wharton of Louisiana and New Orleans; his nieces, Shayna Bryant of Atlantic City, NJ, Chelsea Reed of Lake Mary, FL and Ashley Reed of Rochelle, NY; his nephew Lawrence Hicks Jr.; and his aunt Thelma Gary of Englewood, NJ.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (3550 Bargaintown Rd, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
