He was predeceased by: his father William Howard Kern; and his brother Ronald Kern. He is survived by: his wife Kristina Kern; his stepchildren, Michael Fox, Jared Fox (Alex) and Tara-Jean McDonaugh (Pat); his mother Melba Kern; and his siblings, Judy Kern, Colleen Kern and Jim Kern.
