We announce the death of Elena Tropeano of Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 92. Elena will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sabato Tropeano; her sisters, Elia and Vincenza; and her siblings-in-law, Maria, Angelo and Carmine.
She is survived by: her daughters, Virginia (Ron Horre) and Maria (Foe Campanella); her grandchildren, Vinny Campanella, Gabriella Thompson, Regina Dunich, Erica Campanella, Anthony Horre and Talia Castano; her great grandchildren, Angelina, Donovan, Richie, Deryn, Jack, Denton, Dawson and Eva Francesca; and her sisters-in-law, Rosalia and Ann Tropeano. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mastapeter Funeral Home (400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park, NJ 07204). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 8:45 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. Genevieve Church (200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208).
