It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael W. Baumgartner of Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on December 2, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Baumgartner and Joan M. Baumgartner (McGrath); and his sister Sue B. Schilling. He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth Layton; his siblings, Peter Baumgartner of San Diego, CA and Jane B Hightower; his brother-in-law Keith Hightower of Chesapeake, VA; his stepmother Elisa Balestra of Cherry Hill; and his siblings' children, Caitlin Hightower, Hayley Andrews and Kyle Hightower.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice in Mike's name.
