He is survived by : his children, William L. Merten Jr. (Mary) of New Paltz, Pamela Merten of Las Vegas, Sharon Heintjes (Robert) of Edison and Peggy Conaty (Mike) of Fords; his sister Barbara Merten of Whiting; and his grandchildren, Samatha Vanny, Tyler Merten, Cheyenne Wachter, Jessica Merten, Catherine Pine, Briana Heintjes, Robert Heintjes, Gabriel Corbo, Sahra Corbo and Michael Conaty. He is also survived by Four Great Grandchildren.
