She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John J. Peterson, Jr.; her children, John III, Michael (Odessa), Johanna Bargisen (Scott) and Anthony (Melissa); her grandchildren, Scott Jr., Eric, Jenna, Courtney, Nicholas and Roscoe; her great grandchildren, Rylinn and Remi; her sister Jeanne Ann Scarano; and her nieces and nephews, Ronald Jr. (Christine), Gene and Joseph (William). She was also cherished by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home (120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ 07647). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victories RC Church (150 Harriot Ave, Harrington Park, NJ 07640). A burial was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery (10 Serpentine Rd, Tenafly, NJ 07670).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children in Marie's memory.
