She was predeceased by: her parents, Josh B. Butler and Nell Dessassure; her husband Norman Edward Walker; and her siblings, Clayton B. Bennekin, John Butler and Naomi Butler Fraser.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ginell Walker Way (Darrell), Sharon Walker Chapman (Derrick) and Norma Ann Walker; her grandchildren, Norman Chapman, Jordan Way, Jasmine Way and Warren Chapman; and her siblings, Jacob Bennekin, Jr. (Lethonia), Thomas "Nee" Bennekin (Norma), Louise Butler Richardson (Joe), Carolyn Bennekin, Romonia Brown (Joe) and Eleanor "Tiny" Gillins (Sam). She is also survived by nieces, nephews extended family and cherished friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (216 4th St, Englewood, NJ 07631). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
