He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Vitale; his children, Gerald Jr. (Lyndsay Vitale), Jill Vitale and Jenna (James Messina); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Gerald, Max and Harlow; his siblings, Charles Vitale, Anthony Vitale and Phyllis Vukelich; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy, Carlotta and Peter.
