With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Longo (Fairfield, New Jersey), born in Newark, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2025 at the age of 78. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jerry Longo and Annette Longo; his wife Barbara Longo; his children, Jaime C. Longo and Dina Longo (late Tadhg O'Fatharta); his grandchildren, Grace and James; his sister Susan (Don Zikmund); his siblings-in-law, Joe (Connie Valvano) and Carol (Ken Scaglione); and his sibling's children, Ken Scaglione, Michael Scaglione, Kristine Banister, Joseph Valvano, Alyson Zikmund and Todd Zikmund.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a cause that held special meaning for Gerald. Make a donation to one of the following charities in remembrance of Gerald Longo.
