With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nelson Fernández (Fairfield, New Jersey), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nelson left this world on September 28, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel Fernández and Carmen Fernández; his wife Frances Fernández; his children, Nancy, Nelson Jr., Natalie and Nicole (Joseph Iadanza); and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Joshua Jr., Brando, Jardani and Jason.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stellato Funeral Home (7 2 Bridges Rd, Fairfield, NJ 07004). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:45 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (60 Byrd Ave, Bloomfield, NJ 07003). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter in honor of Nelson's love for animals.
