He was predeceased by: his parents, Theresa Bonsangue and Augustino Mesiano; his siblings, Joseph, Vincent and Lucy; and his wife Mary.

He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Aughey (Robert), Sally Ann Bengasi (Franco) and Tereasa Fontanese (Andrew); his grandchildren, Jason Aughey (Courtney), Elizabeth Brower (Justin), Matthew and Sarah Fontanese; and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Ryan, Benjamin, Kayla and Jack.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home (109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Presentation (271 W Saddle River Rd, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458).
