He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Lauro and Frances Lauro; and his siblings, Anthony Lauro and Julie Starace. He is survived by: his wife Marianna Lucchese; his sons, Anthony (Belinda) and David (Monica); his grandchildren, Vincent, Andrew, Catherine and Ryan; and his sister Linda Cangemi.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sal's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
