He was predeceased by: his father Richard "Dick" Eckner. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Ann Eckner; his siblings' child Anthea Gray; his sister Cindy Rowe (Kevin Rowe); his siblings' child Gehrig Rowe; his former wife Jennifer Eckner; and his aunts and uncles, Sally, Steve Holub, Judy and Tom Kintigh.
