He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Lane and Rosemary Dunn Lane; and his brother Mark Dunn Lane. He is survived by: his sisters, Diane M. Kerr, Ellen Wetmore (Geoffrey) and Nancy Gatley (Michael); his sister-in-law Denise Lane; his daughter Kelli Lane Snock (David); the mother of his child Kathleen Lane Gimpel; his daughter Kenzie Rose Lane; his grandchildren, Nicolas Stewart, Shayne Snock, Julina Snock, Casey James Lane and Shea Elizabeth Henery; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa Kerr, Timothy Kerr (Megan), Kyle Wetmore (Brittany), Tyler Wetmore (Jessica), Colin Wetmore, Meleia Lane Wiechmann (Josef), Ryan James Lane, Matthew Lane, Meagan Mesmer (Kenneth), Michael Gatley Jr. and Jillian Gatley.
