She is survived by: her husband Dr. Alain Martin; her children, Dr. Amy Martin (Michael McPharlin) and Todd Martin (Mary Cashman); her grandchildren, Maggie McPharlin, William McPharlin and Andrew Martin; and her siblings, Cynthia Hilton (Dee), Tom Hilton and James Hilton.
Kathy will be remembered not only for her contributions to music and education but also for her love for her family and dear friends .
