He was predeceased by: his parents, David LaTourette Crans and Olga Noge; his siblings, David L. Crans Jr. and Ruth Eileen Crans-Brescher; his son Terrence David Crans; and his wife Alice Margaret Sutherland-Crans.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Cameron Crans and Brett Allen Crans; his grandchildren, Courtnye Ruth Crans-Koivisto, Brittney Lynn Larvins, Alexander Robert Crans, Victoria Lee Crans, Alexandria Nicole Crans and Benjamin Michael Crans; and his great grandchild Morgan Alice Koivisto.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking those who wish, to make donations to the New Jersey Mosquito Control Association in Wayne's name.
