She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Birtel and Beatrice Sohns Birtel; and her husband David Cartier. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth (Jo-Anne Cartier), Joseph (Emma Cartier), Kevin (Helen Cartier) and Michele; her son-in-law Stuart Emmons; her grandchildren, David Cartier (Samantha), Samanatha Cartier, Jacob, Zachary Emmons and Avery Cartier; and her great grandchildren, Ruby and Georgie Cartier.
