It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard N. Rein in Florence, New Jersey, born in Trenton, New Jersey, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rein and Catherine Rein (Blechl); his brothers, George and John Rein; and his sister-in-law Helen Vartas Rein.
He is survived by: his wife Grace L. Rein; his sons, Michael Rein (Lisa) of Columbus, Robert Rein of Burlington Township and Benjamin Carey (Jillian); his stepdaughter Maura Carey (Antoine Rouhana) of Somerset, NJ.; and his grandchildren, Craig (Sarah), Eric (Laura), Kelly (Sean), Heather (Jared), Aimee (Ron), Mary, Donovan and Killian.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Peppler Funeral Home (122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ 08505). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
