She was predeceased by: her parents, John Koenig and Mildred Koenig; her husband James J. Schmidling; and her grandson Matthew. She is survived by: her children, Anthony "T. J." Larangeira (Jacqueline) and Laurie Larangeira-McGann (Lee Brown); her stepdaughter Donna Perini (Mike); her grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas, Justin, Kyle and Brielle; her great grandchildren, Joey and Jack; and her sister Adrienne DiMicco. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 18th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Church of Saint Pius X (300 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mimi's memory may be made to Holisticare Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association – Greater New Jersey Chapter.
