It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy A. (Nobel) Smagula of Forked River, New Jersey, who passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Soyka and Mary Soyka (Harvilla); her husband Richard Smagula; and her sisters, Joan Redziniak and Elizabeth Tango.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Hansen of Kunkletown, PA and James Nobel (Karen) of Jupiter, FL.; her grandchildren, Scott Robles (Ashley), Arielle Hansen, Zachary Hansen, Donald Hansen, Helene Hansen, Andrew Durkin, Ryan Durkin and Amelie Nobel; her siblings, Margaret Soyka of Whiting, NJ, Patricia Chaparian of Whiting, NJ and John Soyka of Fords, NJ; and her son-in-law Donald Hansen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and on Monday, June 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (1426 US-209, Gilbert, PA 18331). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish (4700 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, NJ 08008).
