“Annette and I worked together for the entire time that she worked at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She was a brilliant light that I followed for the rest of our professional lives. Although we kept in touch over the years, it was that time at LIJ that was at once, intense, loving and formative. She was my boss, my mentor and my friend. I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing. We spoke of getting together for dinner that last summer, but sadly, we did not meet. She will be missed”
