He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Arax; his children, Barbara Putnam (Robert) and Michael Palakian (Valerie); his grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Ashley and Alexander; and his siblings, Sarah Chakmakjian and Peter Palakian.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Armenian Church.
