He was predeceased by: his parents, Sota Koike and Hanako Koike; and his sibling Mikio Koike. He is survived by: his daughter Kiyomi Soriano; his son-in-law Miguel Soriano; his granddaughters, Yukiko Soriano of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. and Esmeralda Soriano of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.; and his sibling Yukako Sugimoto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
