With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice (France) Barrows of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, who passed away on January 28, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Bernice shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bernice farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Elaine, David and Ernest. She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Jaekel (Robert) of Franklin Lakes; and her grandson Matthew Jaekel.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Bernice's name to Shriners Children's Hospital, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
