He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacqueline Gallagher and Edward Gallagher of Ridgefield, NJ; his wife Erika; his sons, Daniel and Matthew; his siblings, Ed Gallagher (Sil), Chris Gallagher (Denise) and Terry Finizio (Joe); his in-laws, Reinhard and Joyce Gross; his siblings-in-law, Heidi Gross-Kelley (Sean) and Jason Gross; his nieces and nephews, Lisa (Matt), Nick (Deanna), Joey (Becca), Allison (John), John (Emily) and Caitriona; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maris, Charlotte, Matthew, Juliette and Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff (257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Dan's memory to CTC Academy or New Concepts for Living, 2 organizations that held special meaning to Dan and his family. Donations may be made directly to either organization with a notation that the gift is being made in memory of Dan.
