We announce the death of Herbert Umland of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 79. Herbert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: Megan. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Lynn; his sister Linda; his daughters, Amy Collins (Patrick) and Rebecca Kingston (Ken); his granddaughters, Kathryn Collin, Courtney Collins, Kayla Kingston and Maya Kingston; his siblings, Jim and Carol (Len); and his pet Sparky. He is also survived by "Papa" by his four precious granddaughters.
