It is with sadness that the passing of Joe Spellman of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey is shared. Joe, born in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, passed away on September 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Joe will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Joe by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Joe is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Joe’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Jr. Spellman. He is survived by: his wife Michele; his stepdaughter Richelle; his daughter Lisa Sanchez (Ed); his granddaughters, Taylor and Devan; and his brother William (Sherill). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481). A prayer was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Christ the King Cemetery (980 Huron Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417).
