James left this world on August 6, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William McDevitt and Helen Spencer (late Albert); and his siblings, Mary Bill (late Sonny), Helen Seppy (late Carmen), William McDevitt (late Joanne) and Sheila McDevitt.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. McDevitt; his sons, Rob McDevitt (Ann), Bill McDevitt (Bob) and Dan McDevitt (Liz); his grandchildren, Jimmy (Jennifer), Danielle (Brad) and Madelynn; and his sister-in-law Marcy Gimble. He is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home (504 N Main St, Williamstown, NJ 08094). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
