It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil L. Barnes Sr. of Freehold, New Jersey, born in Meherrin, Virginia, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Caroll; his brother Warren Ray Barnes; and his grandchildren, Montanna Rose and Alex. He is survived by: his children, Cecil L. Jr. (Kelley Barnes), Vincent (Terresse Barnes), Bernard (Linda Barnes) and Briget (Tom Barnes-Hulse); his fiancée Cecelia Howarth; his sister Becky Linder; his grandchildren, Shane, Cecil III, Hunter, Corey, Kari, Ryan, Jimmy, Mikey, Amanda, Emily, Katie, Rebecca, Skylar, Thomas and Mary; his great grandchildren, Ciaran, Coltan, Oakley, Brantley, Braxton, Abby, Hanah and Alex; and his pets, Molly, Tessa, Elvis, Bella and Fenway.
