He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Saunders Gibbons and Anthony Patrick Gibbons; his wife Mary Lou; and his sisters, Rita Schwartz and Mary Rose Dillinger.
He is survived by: his children, James P. Gibbons (Norma), Mary Pat Silk of Freehold, NJ, Ann (Peter Phalen) of Newtown, PA, Janet (John Giunco) of Colts Neck, NJ and Kathryn Gibbons of Neptune, NJ.; and his pets, Bryan Gibbons, Kristin Silk, Mark Silk, John Giunco III, Jill Giunco and Mary Cait Phalen. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren.
