Richard Barrett Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Barrett (Freehold, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barrett and Dorothy Barrett; and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Barrett (Capetta); and his siblings, Thomas Barrett (Jean), Mary Jane Wehrle (Russell) and Virginia Barrett (James Llewellyn). He is also survived by nieces.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity that was important to Rick, two of which are St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and the Herkimer County Humane Society.
